The pursuit of knowledge and improved patient care are at the heart of the Department of Urology’s basic and clinical research programs, which seek to find new and better ways to diagnose and treat urologic disorders. A strong-award-winning research program distinguishes Hackensack University Medical Center from other health care facilities and elevates the medical care we provide to patients of all ages. Our clinical research protocols mean patients have access to new treatment methods that are not readily available at other hospitals. Almost all of our urologists on staff are engaged in clinical research. Their results are often published in leading medical journals, shared at national and international conferences, and taught worldwide to medical students, residents, and other urologists in healthcare facilities around the world.
