The Institute for Sleep-Wake Disorders at Hackensack University Medical Center is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of sleep disorders.

Services are provided by physicians board-certified in the specialty of sleep medicine, a Ph.D. experienced in the psychosocial management of sleep disorders, and registered sleep technicians, who are in touch with the most recent developments in the field.

The institute offers six comfortably furnished sleep rooms and a lab equipped with the most technologically advanced audio, video, and computerized monitoring equipment for performing the sleep studies.

The institute is the only facility in Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Union, and Sussex counties accredited by the American Sleep Disorders Association since 1994.

The Institute for Sleep-Wake Disorders is a major site for teaching and research in sleep disorders. As a teaching center, advanced education in sleep disorders is provided to senior-level physicians under the supervision of the medical director of the Institute for Sleep-Wake Disorders.
