Persons confronted with behavioral health issues can feel overwhelmed by the symptoms of a mental illness and the need for expedient treatment for themselves or a loved one.
Our multi-disciplinary approach provides the most comprehensive and appropriate care for our patients. The various programs offer evaluation and diagnosis, individualized treatment plans, and individual, group and family treatment.
Our expert, experienced clinical staff members from the fields of psychiatry, psychology, social work and nursing work together to construct individualized treatment plans unique to each consumer. Treatment plans are reviewed and adjusted as needs change throughout the recovery process, ensuring continuous and effective case management.

WHAT WE DO
Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Programs
Patients experiencing impaired daily functioning but who do not need the restrictive environment of an inpatient unit can benefit from full or partial day programs. A variety of treatment tracks provides specialized services for acute patients who are mentally ill, chemically addicted or geropsychiatric. As the patient’s condition improves, a continuum of care is available in a variety of intensive outpatient program tracks, including:
- Psychiatric
- Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted (MICA)
- Eating Disorders
- Older Adult
Clients want assurance that treatments offered are empirically validated, state-of- the-art and safe for themselves and their loved ones.
Eating Disorders Program
Eating disorders cause immeasurable suffering for victims and their families. But there is good news: Eating disorders can be treated. We provide highly skilled professionals to help sufferers develop the individualized treatment plan they need.
The Eating Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program provides for intensive treatment of eating disorders in both day and evening settings. The program, which meets twice a week, offers a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, chronic overeating and their related symptoms. With the coordination of specially trained social workers, occupational therapists and nutritionists, an individualized plan of treatment is developed. Treatment includes group and individual therapy. In addition, it includes education on healthful eating and weight management techniques, psychiatric consultation, psychological testing, and nutritional and medical assessments.
Those suffering from borderline personality disorder can experience significant distress or impairment in relationships and careers. Our highly skilled staff can develop an appropriate treatment plan to help those suffering from this frequently misunderstood illness
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program
The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program is a specially-designed group and individual therapy program for patients with borderline personality disorder and other related problems. Our staff has received advanced training in this unique method.
As a teaching institution affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, we strive to offer and deliver the most up-to-date care available. The department’s support of research to continuously apply new and proven treatments ensures consumers quality care and peace of mind. All of our programs are evaluated on an ongoing basis, using state-of-the-art outcome measures.

Patient confidentiality is assured. All patient records are kept strictly confidential in compliance with federal and state regulations and JCAHO (Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) standards. The patient’s written consent is required prior to the release of any information.
