Gail Starr, M.D. of River Vale, an attending radiologist at the Institute for Breast Care, Hackensack University Medical Center, was recently honored by the Zonta Clubs of Bergen County at their annual dinner to support breast and ovarian cancer services.

As a leader in women's cancer services in the state of New Jersey, The Zonta Clubs of Bergen County recently held their sixth annual dinner to support breast and ovarian cancer services. This year's dinner was held at Seasons Restaurant in Washington Township, NJ. Hackensack University Medical Center physician, Gail Starr, M.D., an attending radiologist in the Institute for Breast Care was honored at this year's ceremony.
Dr. Starr, of River Vale, has been with Hackensack University Medical Center for four years, and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. She completed her internship at Greenwich Hospital/Yale University and was resident and chief resident in Diagnostic Radiology at Columbia, where she also did her fellowship in woman's imaging.
"Dr. Starr's dedication to the cause [breast cancer], her expertise, and her compassion with patients makes her one of the best in the field," said Debra Grammer, R.N., of Glen Rock, administrative director of the Institute for Breast Care.
