HACKENSACK UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER STUDY FOR WOMEN AND HEART DISEASE
Hackensack University Medical Center is taking part in BELLES, a research study concerning heart disease in women. You are eligible if you are a postmenopausal woman between the ages of 55 and 75 and have high cholesterol. As part of the study, participants will receive:
- FDA-approved medication.
- Study-related physical exams and doctor visits.
- A painless scan that shows the amount of calcium in your heart.
