MEDICAL CENTER'S HARP SPONSORS
COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR WITH PATHMARK


Hackensack University Medical Center's Health Awareness Regional Program (HARP) is joining with Pathmark Stores, Inc. to host a FREE community health fair on Sunday, May 7 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. The fair will be held in the parking lot of the North Hackensack Pathmark store, 450 Hackensack Avenue.

Various medical center programs and departments will be represented and several screenings will also be available, including: breath and lung, blood pressure, depression, cancer risk, nutrition analysis, and mini massages.

"This fair will give members of the community an opportunity to obtain valuable information about their health and the health of their family," said Kate McDougall, director of HARP. "Moreover they see the many services that are available to them through Hackensack University Medical Center." Participants will get a chance to talk to representatives and receive information from the many state-of-the-art centers throughout the medical center such as: The Diabetes Center, The Institute for Breast Care, The Breath & Lung Institute, the Institute for Sleep/Wake Disorders, the Osteoporosis Center, the Spine Center, Trauma Services, and the Center for Health & Healing.

Giveaways from the various departments will also be offered. Civic and law enforcement agencies such as the Bergen County Sheriff's Department, the Teterboro Animal Shelter, the Bergen County Fire Academy's Fire Safety House will also be on hand.
