Ramsey High School student Shannon Lazare, left, visits with Sigrid Bendek, 10, of Macafee, a patient at Hackensack University Medical Center's Tomorrows Children's Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Shannon and another Ramsey High student, Gracy Loshkajian, collected donations of crayons, books, and toys from their peers, the staff throughout the school district, and local businesses in Ramsey. Both students distributed the donations to TCI patients, and their visit was documented by UPN 9, which aired the good news that evening on the 10 o'clock news.
