ENTRIES SOUGHT FOR HACKER PHOTO CONTEST
BENEFITTING PEDIATRIC PATIENTS AT MEDICAL CENTER
Attention amateur shutterbugs! Have you developed a knack for photography after taking an endless number of shots on vacations and special occasions?
Find out if you are an award-winning photographer by entering Gene Hacker's Sixth Annual Photo Contest, sponsored by Gene Hacker's Photo-Video in Hackensack. Animals are the theme for this year's contest, and a minimum donation of $10 per entry benefits The Bella Hacker Fund of Hackensack University Medical Center's Foundation. The Bella Hacker Endowment Fund is dedicated to the treatment of pediatric patients.
Photos will be judged for content, creativity, and technical execution. The first prize winner receives $500. Cameras, film and other prizes will be awarded to second through fifth place winners. The Bella Hacker Memorial Winner will receive $100, and ten honorable mentions will receive additional prizes.
Photographs of first through fifth place winners, along with the honorable mentions, will be displayed in July at Barnes and Noble, Route 17 South in Paramus. At a time to be announced, the photos will also be displayed at the Teaneck Library and at the medical center.
Deadline for entries is Friday, June 2. Judging will take place on Wednesday, June 14 during a reception at the Blauvelt Mansion Castle on Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. For further information, please call (201) 343-3043, or visit Hacker's website at www.genehackers.com.
