HACKENSACK UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER PARTICIPATES IN AMERICAN HEART WALK

Despite an overcast morning, a team of more than 70 Hackensack University Medical Center employees, families, and friends raised more than $15,000 – the most in the team’s history - at this year’s annual American Heart Walk. The medical center held a contest in which the child who raised the most money for the walk won a basketball signed by the New Jersey Nets. Prior to the start of the walk, Jennifer Bridge, 10, of Weehawken, was recognized for raising more than $2,600 on her own, making her the contest’s winner. Jennifer’s father, James Bridge was treated at the medical center for a heart attack and recently completed rehabilitation at The Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Center.
