| MEDICAL CENTER HOSTS WORLD AIDS DAY CONFERENCE FOR STUDENTS Hackensack University Medical Center will host a prevention-focused conference for high school students on World AIDS Day, Monday, December 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year’s conference is titled “Human Rights: Stigma & Discrimination.” The conference will be held at The Hasbrouck Heights Hilton Hotel, located at 650 Terrace Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights. Area high school students, accompanied by their teachers, school nurses, guidance counselors, and the high school staff of Bergen and Passaic counties will attend the entertaining, but sobering program which focuses on ways young people can be pro-active in ending the AIDS epidemic. The students will be given the opportunity to pursue post-conference education to prepare them to do ongoing peer counseling about HIV/AIDS prevention.
