MEDICAL CENTER’S BREATH & LUNG INSTITUTE AND THE CANCER CENTER HOST SCREENINGS & SUPPORT GROUP
The Breath & Lung Institute and The Cancer Center both at Hackensack University Medical Center will hold a complimentary screening on Saturday, November 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. It is intended for those suffering from asthma, shortness of breath, as well as current smokers, ex-smokers, or those who have been exposed to second-hand smoke. Information about the medical center’s lung cancer screening program will be offered and physicians will be available to answer questions.
The screening will be held at The Breath & Lung Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center on 3 St. John, 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack. Pulmonary Function, Oximetry Level, and Carbon Monoxide testing will be available. Refreshments will be served. The screening is free, however, pre-registration is required and space is limited. A smoking cessation question and answer session will be held. Additionally, a team of multidisciplinary Oncology staff members will also be available to answer questions.
