THE FAIRVIEW BOARD OF HEALTH PROVIDES HEALTH CENTERS THAT ARE OPEN TO ALL COMMUNITY RESIDENTS


The Fairview Board of Health announces health services available to Fairview residents. The services are performed by professional staff of the Health Awareness Regional Program (HARP) of Hackensack University Medical Center. 

The Adult Health Center in Fairview will be held in the Health Department, 53 Grant Street, on Mondays from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and on Thursdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. 

The Child Health Conference is held at the Health Department the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. To make an appointment for the Child Health Conference or to receive additional information, please call HARP at 201-996-2038.

The Adult Health Centers provides individual and private health assessment and consultation of the physiological, social, and psychological well being. Health consultations focuses on blood pressure and pulse monitoring, changes in weight, ability to perform activities of daily living, medication regime, availability of financial resources and ongoing medical supervision. Health education is given in relation to all the needs of each client. Individuals are referred to their physicians for specific health conditions. The nurse will follow up on all clients who have a health problem. No appointment is necessary. 

Well baby care is available to infants and preschool children free of charge at the Child Health Conference at the Fairview Health Department, 53 Grant Street. A physician and a public health nurse provide physical examinations, immunizations, and screening for vision, hearing, anemia and lead levels as well as consultations about growth and development.
