THE DONNA A. SANZARI WOMEN’S HEALTH SERVICES, EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND RESOURCE CENTER AT MEDICAL CENTER BENEFITS FROM NEIMAN MARCUS FASHION SHOW


The Donna A. Sanzari Women’s Health Services, Education, Research, and Resource Center at Hackensack University Medical Center benefited from a fashion show hosted by Neiman Marcus at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus. The evening showcased unique clothing from designers including St. John by Marie Gray, Jean Paul Gaultier, MaxMara, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Escada, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Celine, Rena Lange and Giorgio Armani, among others. A dinner from The Rotunda at Neiman Marcus was included in the ticket to the show. Personal shopper Sonia Minetti-Sengos was on-hand to assist shoppers. 

More than 100 people attended the event that raised more than $50,000 for the medical center’s women’s program. 

John P. Ferguson, president and chief executive officer at the medical center greeted the invitation –only guests who came to support women’s health services as he said, “Welcome to Donna’s closet.” On a more serious note, he added, “We are pleased to offer women the opportunity to access specialized healthcare in a caring environment and hank you all for joining us on this splendid occasion.”

A silent auction was conducted as well, and included unique items such as a Barefoot Beach Bonanza at the Sanzari home in Ho-Ho-Kus; a Lalique crystal bowl; 2003 Season Giants Tickets; one crate of Opus Wine; a private catered dinner from Personal Touch Catering; a Jay Stongwater frame, Jason Kidd’s autographed sneakers & practice jersey; a Derek Jeter autographed baseball; designers scrubs, and original Osborn Yankee Stadium Archite plans. 

Donna A. Sanzari said, “I am absolutely floored at the generosity and people’s willingness to help us with the women’s center.”
