The Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation recently sponsored a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Pastoral Care Department. Three-hundred-twenty-one tickets were sold at $50 each, raising $16,050. The drawing was held at the Winter Festival luncheon, where it was announced Harry Comp, Jr. of Hackensack, director of Parisian Beauty Academy, was the winner of $8,025. He immediately donated $500 of his winnings back to the Pastoral Care Endowment Fund at the medical center.

Hackensack University Medical Center is committed to the quality care of the whole person. Pastoral Care offers hope, prayer, and spiritual healing to any person suffering a problem for which they might seek comfort. Plans are underway to build a larger chapel and additional meditative space. An endowment fund to support these efforts was recently established, and to ensure the important mission of providing spiritual support to those in need.
