MEDICAL CENTER PARTICIPATES IN NCCJ WALK-A-THON


Hackensack University Medical Center is sponsoring a team to participate in the upcoming National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, May 3. The medical center invites all to join us as we “Walk As One” against prejudice and hate at The Meadowlands Environment Center, Two DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst. The three-mile walk will take place rain or shine, from 1 – 4 p.m. To register or for more information, please call Peggy Schunk in Public Relations at (201) 996-3586.

The medical center recently hosted a kick-off luncheon in The Palm Court of the Hackensack University Medical Plaza. Dennis McGorry of Rutherford, vice president of Public Affairs at the medical center said, “We are happy to help the NCCJ meet their goals during this healthy walking activity in combating prejudice and hate.” 

Hackensack University Medical Center, a teaching and research hospital affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School and a member of the New Jersey Council of Teaching Hospitals, is the largest provider of inpatient and outpatient services in the state of New Jersey.
