The Betty Torricelli Institute for Breast Care is a center of excellence of Hackensack University Medical Center. The medical center is affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, whose medical students receive their clinical education here. The medical center operates post-graduate medical residencies and fellowships as a member of the Graduate Medical Education Consortium-New Jersey Medical School, which also includes UMDNJ-University Hospital in Newark and Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Hackensack University Medical Center is a delegate of the Association of Community Cancer Centers. The medical center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. The Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons. The Betty Torricelli Institute for Breast Care is accredited by the FDA as a certified mammographic facility.
